Join Us Virtually this Fall!

Written by Pam Peterson, RN, BSN on July 09, 2020

Earlier this year, we made the difficult decision to cancel our in-person gathering of Phoenix World Burn Congress (WBC) due to the coronavirus – but a sense of community helps people heal and that is why we are adapting to meet our community's needs virtually. When we announced the cancelation, we also asked for your feedback, suggestions, and thoughts on future programming – and based on our survey results, Phoenix Society is continuing to develop more offerings and initiatives so that we can all find the support we need and ways to stay connected.

You asked and we listened – We are extremely excited to announce that we are hosting a virtual Phoenix WBC this fall! Join us for two and a half days of connection, programming, and community. Our virtual conference will be customizable and offer flexibility to fit within your needs and schedule (learn more below!).

New Offerings

Viewing Parties – Although we cannot gather as one large group this year, that doesn’t mean you have to attend Phoenix WBC alone. If safe to do so, organizations may be interested in holding a viewing party – we will provide organizations with a party guide containing helpful tips and ideas, along with a resource bundle.

Regional Roundups – Another way to connect with local support, resources, and meet new people from your region! We are working with our regional partners to host meet ups during Phoenix WBC.

After-Care Sessions – Interactive opportunities to learn more and get involved with the physical aftercare journey.

Healing Through Our Stories - Open Mic – Phoenix WBC wouldn’t be Phoenix WBC without Open Mic, this year it’s just taking place virtually! We also encourage you to join us for our first Healing Through Our Stories - Open Mic happening later this month – learn more and sign up here

 And more!
