Being a young adult is an exciting time, but can also be a difficult one. With so many changes happening in your life from the ages of 18-25, it can be hard to truly know who you are, what you stand for, and how to be your most authentic self when having relationships with friends, family, and significant others. Do the roles you play in your life match your most authentic self? Are you able to show this to the world? If not, how does one get there? These are the topics we will be exploring in this years Young Adult Workshop.

  • Identity + Relationships on Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 7 - 8:30 pm EST
Knowing who you are and what you stand for can sometimes be a challenge, but when you are a burn survivor, your identity can feel even harder to discover. Have you felt it change positively or negatively since your injury? Do you feel pressure from family or friends to be a certain way? How can you not only accept yourself as a burn survivor but integrate it within your life to be authentic in everything you do? We will discuss how to address these topics to fully integrate them into your life for your own self-discovery as well as for relationships with family, friends, or significant others.

  • Support Group on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 6 - 7:30 pm EST
There will be a support group offered specifically for the attendees of the Young Adult Workshop. Here conversations carried over from our young adult workshop can continue, others can begin, and support will be found. Whatever you may be feeling, struggling with or dealing with, there’s no other type of support than being able to share and receive advise from others who are experiencing similar trials that are your own age.

  • Social Event on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 7:45 - 8:30 pm EST
Join us for a virtual game night with your young adult peers!
