President and CEO, AlloSource

Tom Cycyota has more than 35 years of experience in the medical device and orthobiologics industry. As President and CEO of AlloSource, Tom develops and implements strategies that align with the company’s mission to honor the gift of tissue donation by maximizing its impact to the medical community and patients.

 

Under Tom’s leadership, AlloSource has become one of the largest and most respected tissue banks in the country. The company is a world leader in fresh articular cartilage allografts, which helps promote joint restoration, allowing people to regain mobility and active lives after disease or trauma, and is one of the nation’s largest providers of human allograft skin for the treatment of severe burns.

 

Prior to joining AlloSource, Tom was the Vice President of Alternate Care Business with Johnson & Johnson Medical (JJM). In this Board-level role, he led the company’s movement into the alternate healthcare market. Previous positions also include serving as Worldwide Director, Marketing, Wound Management for JJM and Vice President of Marketing and Materials Management with New Dimensions in Medicine. He also spent 10 years at Kendall Healthcare Products Company.

 

Tom holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Loyola University. He is the Past President of his national fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi, and serves on the Colorado Advisory Council for Organ and Tissue Donation.

 

Tom is inspired by the act of donation because this incredibly selfless gift allows AlloSource to do great things to help heal patients. His inspirations are the miracles that are accomplished because of the act of donation.
