Development Officer
As a Development Officer for Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors, Rick plays a vital role in cultivating and stewarding meaningful relationships with donors, leading special events, and sharing the powerful impact of the organization’s mission.
A burn survivor himself from an incident while serving on camp staff in his teens, he has a passion for serving the community. His commitment to empowering others led him to a 22-year career with the Boy Scouts of America, where he served in leadership roles across Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. For 12 of those years, Rick was the Director of Rodney Scout Reservation, where he combined leadership development with the transformative power of the outdoors.
Rick and his wife, Allison, reside in Delaware with their son and daughter. When he’s not working to support the burn survivor community, you’ll likely find Rick on a baseball or softball field — coaching, umpiring, or cheering on his teenage athletes. An avid lover of the outdoors, he enjoys golf, sailing, skiing, Scouting, and just about any activity that brings people together outside.
