Managing Pain and Itch After Injury: A Discussion With Clinicians

Dr. Friedstat is an active medical provider at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Shriners Hospital for Children – Boston. He completed his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at Northwestern University, before receiving his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. 

 

His practice focuses the comprehensive treatment of burn patients for both their acute and reconstructive needs. Dr. Friedstat is also a member of the American Burn Association and serves regularly on their committees. His main research interest is in outcomes research for burn reconstruction patients. He is passionate about improving lives for burn patients and is working toward a master’s in public health from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. He is one of only a few surgeons in the world that are board certified in general surgery, surgical critical care, and plastic surgery.
