Howard Tellepsen was severely burned in a home furnace explosion in 1969. Tellepsen is a fourth generation, family owned and operated business, providing commercial and industrial construction in Houston since 1909. He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from Georgia Tech, where he received the 2012 Alumni Distinguished Service Award.
Howard serves on the Boards of CHI St. Luke’s Health, YMCA of Greater Houston (past Chairman), and Sam Houston Area Council Boy Scouts (past Chairman and a Distinguished Eagle Scout). Married for 48 years, he has four sons (all employed at Tellepsen) and ten grandchildren.
