Felicia Nicole Williams is an Associate Professor with Tenure in the Department of Surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a talented Burn Surgeon who dedicated her career to improving outcomes for patients with severe burn injuries. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelors in Biophysics and went on to medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She did her General Surgery Residency at East Carolina University and all of her Burn training at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and Shriner’s Children’s Hospital. Since joining the faculty at UNC in 2014, she has been and remains both academically and clinically productive and embraces challenges. She is currently the Associate Division Chief of Burns at UNC. She believes that superheroes are made, not born. She believes that superheroes are made from skillful hard work, determination and the passion to succeed - traits which are all embodied in the patients and families she serves.
