Amber Kocian

Amber Kocian, OTR, C-IAYT, and E-RYT 500 graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 2014. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2008 and 500-hour therapeutic yoga training in 2010 with a focus on yoga interventions for multiple sclerosis. She is a certified yoga therapist by the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Additionally, Amber has completed two hand yoga certifications.

Since 2015, Amber has been an OT in Parkland’s PM&R outpatient setting which includes general outpatient services, therapy for burn injuries, and hand therapy. Amber takes a holistic and integrative approach when working with clients in the occupational therapy outpatient setting as well as in her community-based and online yoga classes. She specializes in guiding her clients to true, deep relaxation in order to help them rediscover their occupations and their true natures after an injury.
