The Phoenix Education Grant (PEG) is the first national scholarship endowment fund created for burn survivor students pursuing their education dreams. Burn survivor students pursuing their post-secondary education are encouraged to apply.
Due to the current global health pandemic, we are responding to our community's need to stay connected by expanding our virtual support and programming. Even in these uncertain times, we know that community is greater than isolation, and we continue to strive for a world where no one recovers from a burn injury alone. Phoenix Society has decided not to proceed with the PEG Scholarship program in 2020.
Phoenix Society is striving to connect everyone impacted by a burn injury – so that no one recovers alone. George Pessotti Scholarship Fund to focus our resources on underwriting the costs of our programs and meeting the growing needs of the burn community worldwide. This will also allow our staff to devote more resources to high-impact programs as we work to keep Phoenix World Burn Congress (WBC) accessible to all through the support of our partners.
If you are looking for financial support to attend the conference, be sure to check out these resources. If you aren’t able to be with us in Rhode Island, you can participate in the virtual streaming and connection opportunities for free.
Special thanks to George Pessotti for his ongoing support and to those who have contributed to the scholarship fund in the past. Our philanthropic partners help make Phoenix WBC possible and allow us to offer registration to our attendees at well below the actual cost.
